Welcome to Conversations with Journey

Over the past seven years, I’ve shared “Conversations with Journey” with a small group of family and friends, many of whom have contacted me to say how these conversations have touched their lives and brightened their day. In commemoration of the 7th anniversary of Journey’s adoption, I have decided to share these conversations with a larger audience. I hope that the life lessons Journey teaches me, will touch your heart and mind as well.

Adoption Anniversary

Seven years ago (July 8, 2010), we celebrated the finalization of Journey’s adoption – with most of our family present to share in our joy. After six months of waiting, she was officially ours forever. I was so excited and nervous that day that I left for the courthouse without taking a bottle, pacifier, or spoon for her baby food. As luck would have it, Journey became hungry just before we entered the judge’s chambers. All I had was a pack of apple sauce, which I fed her with the tip of my finger. Journey likes to hear this story and I love to tell it to her. Thank you to my husband for loving me so much that he was willing to sacrifice our savings, plans for retirement, and a quiet house, so that I could become a mom and our family could be complete. I love my family more than words can ever express.
